This is a fascinating question. The mental issue has been gaining notoriety in recent years as more and more professional athletes are looking for ways to improve their performance.
The exciting thing is the following. If you ask any athlete what % of the sport he/she practices is mental, I assure you that the answer will vary between 70 and 90%. In other words, athletes do know the importance of mindset, but if you ask right afterward how much time they dedicate to improving the mental part, the answer will be almost zero.
How can you consider your sport 70 to 90% mental and devote 0% of your time to improving it? That makes no sense to me.
Many reasons cause this. The main one is that the athlete generally does not know where to start. Another reason is that many Mental Trainers are unable to create something tangible for their athletes, being still something very superficial, difficult to apply.
Currently, there are many materials available on mental performance. Many coaches, like myself, managed to transfer the theory to practice, with tangible and applicable exercises for all types of athletes, respecting and adapting according to each one's needs.
Today, training the mental part is exactly the same as training the physical and technical part, and these are the only aspects available to improve. You can only enhance your Mind, craft, and body.
If you want to improve your performance, you must have a mental trainer. This message is also valid for athletes who train a lot but still are not achieving extraordinary results. The answer may be here.
Nowadays there is no reason not to add this type of training so important to your plan. Great sports legends like Michael Jordan, Coby Bryant, Lebron James, Tiger Woods. All of them stated that the mental part is the most important for success.
I set up a free course that will teach you exercises that will help you a lot. I also have a system on mental performance. This is the greatest course in the world, also available here. That's where I share all the mental techniques I've learned as a professional poker player and Basketball player. Do not let this opportunity pass and invest in your future, in your performance! See you soon!
